Within NLO’s Asia Department, Myrthe is the main contact for the China Trademark and Design Desk. She works with a wide range of Chinese clients including major Chinese brands across sectors such as the entertainment and automotive industry. Having lived in China and having basic Mandarin proficiency, Myrthe combines legal expertise with cross-cultural insight to build lasting cross-border collaboration. She regularly visits China to maintain and expand a strong network in the region.
Her expertise lies in portfolio management and providing strategic advice about the availability and registrability of trademarks and designs, handling conflicts and infringement issues, conducting opposition and invalidity proceedings, and negotiating and drafting co-existence agreements and settlements.
Outside of work, Myrthe enjoys discovering culinary hotspots, traveling, hiking in nature and practicing reformer pilates.
